Growing up on the beaches of Southern California, Helen
has been sketching and painting for as long as she can remember. While yet a young artist, she spent every
spare moment roaming the beaches, mountains, lakes and creeks that surrounded
her world, and committing them to canvas and paper. (click

Combining her early
California experience with the desert environment of her current residence
in Arizona, Helen has married a remarkable blend of West and Southwest, to
uniquely infuse her signature style into a prolific portfolio of dramatic
imagery.

Helen Zapata has been an Award Winning, Galleried Artist
for over 30 years. Her paintings reside
in Corporate, Public, and Private
Collections throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe, and have been on
display at the Los Angeles County Art Museum.
